0:49.4	law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation of child abductions, mysterious disappearances of children,
0:55.3	child homicide and child sexual victimisation. Many families out there, many parents out there,
1:00.9	we all talk about that stranger danger. And actually, principal cases of child abduction are not
1:07.1	those strangers. This is Australian true crime. We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land

1:23.2	My process, usually what I'm involved in these cases,
1:26.7	is a process of elimination. So, you know, we start off with, do we have a runaway, depending on the age of the child and the factors in the case? Do we have what do we call a miscommunication, which is, you know, the child is, say, getting off the school bus and I told her mother the night before that, you know, hey, I'm going to go home
1:45.4	with a friend. Mom says, yes, that's fine, forgets about it. The child doesn't come home.
1:51.9	The child's actually at a friend's house. And now the mom doesn't know why the child didn't come
1:56.6	home, calls the school, you know, so on and so forth and says, yes, she was on the bus, and now
2:01.0	she reports the child is disparate. We call that miscommunication. So if it's not a runaway or
