Hello everyone, this is Love Life with Matthew Hussie. You know, we've all been hurt in relationships.

If we're not careful, we can end up shutting ourselves off completely to protect ourselves from more pain.

But that cheats us out of opportunities to find the love we really deserve.

So what should we do instead? I want to come back to this at the end of the show.

But first, let's get into today's episode.

I have something I want to give you as we lead up to the Christmas period because I know that as we lead up to the holidays,

there are so many people out there who want to find love. It's a time that reminds us that we want love, especially because we see every advertisement out there is about people being close to family, friends, lovers, every influence we have at that time is about the magic of being close to the people we love.

And it follows that we also want that special experience with someone romantic in our lives, someone that we can have this amazing romance with.

Now, if it's the beginning of December and you haven't found anyone at all yet, you may not find love by the end of December, but you might actually begin a romantic relationship with somebody.

You might find somebody that you actually have an amazing time with and maybe it goes somewhere in the new year and it carries on or maybe it doesn't.

But I know that it would be so much fun and excitement for you to find someone great during the holiday period.

So if you're alone right now, one of my key pieces of advice for you is to be more sociable this month than you are inclined to be.

During the holiday period with far more inclined to kind of be cozy and stay at home and watch movies and tuck ourselves in in our pajamas.

And it's something that although it's we associate that with the holiday mindset, what you really need to be doing right now is being out and being sociable.

And of course, there's no greater time for it because there are so many parties happening during this time, people are having work events, people are having drinks with friends.

There's no better time when everyone's out and in that good mood to go and meet people.

So I want you to go out and meet people. I want you to say yes to activities that people put in front of you. And by the way, if you get no invites to anything, do your own thing.

A ranger, a little happy hour for you and some people you care about and get together and go out.

But when you're out, spend most of your time talking to people you don't know, spend most of your time talking to strangers, spend 20% of the time talking to the people you already connect with who you went with.

Because this is a time where I want you to be meeting new people that you can see over the holiday period.

If you meet a stranger and attractive guy and you hit it off, a great thing to be able to do with him is to go Christmas shopping or go out for a coffee during the daytime.

It's so much fun to have dates during this period when it's all wintry and everything is decorated for the holidays and there's a kind of natural romance in the air.
