Summary

Without Christ we were slaves, trying to earn God’s approval, but Jesus redeemed us and adopted us as sons and daughters. Now we don’t come to God by fear or performance, we come as family. Through the Holy Spirit, we get to enjoy access to our Father.

0:00.0	So excited to be back in Galatians with you today. I want to start by sharing with you time.
0:09.4	It was about a decade ago. A good friend of mine was getting married. And it was a guy that I got to see grow up in the faith when I met him, wasn't a believer, trusted Christ, began to follow Jesus with his
0:22.6	whole life and met a young lady and they were going to get married. And it was a destination
0:29.0	wedding. And so in the Dominican Republic, and he asked me if I would officiate it. And I have a rule in
0:36.2	life that if you get married at the beach, I will do your wedding.
0:40.0	And so it's just one of those principles I live by. So I'm like, yes, I will do it. And it was
0:45.1	awesome because it's one of those destination weddings where the calendar aligns and like
0:51.2	everybody can be there. So it's like our friend group goes. And at this time of
0:55.0	my life, I was doing ministry closely with the Shane, Shane and Shane. And so they go and their wives and
1:01.2	our wives are friends. And then two other couples who are close friends of ours go. And we all stay.
1:06.0	He got us this five bedroom house with a pool near the ocean. it was just amazing and the wedding goes off and it was
1:13.9	just this celebratory moment and we're in paradise and the next day we wake up and the sun is up
1:20.9	clear skies and we go to the ocean and we're playing volleyball and you know somebody's got the
1:26.9	the music going their Bluetooth and and we're just volleyball and, you know, somebody's got the music going, their Bluetooth,
1:29.7	and we're just out there, and it's just the perfect day of all of our friends,
1:34.3	and all is right, and the Lord supernaturally gave me about 10 minutes of athletic ability,
1:40.2	and I spiked the ball, and we win the game,
1:43.3	and we're walking off the sand court to the chairs
1:46.3	where all our belongings are. And there's this young woman there who's also a part of our group.
1:52.2	And she had been a part of that ministry with us and she moved off to Haiti to be a missionary.
1:59.4	And then when our friend got married, she came over from Haiti to the Dominican Republic to be a missionary. And then when our friend got married, she came over from Haiti
2:02.6	to the Dominican Republic to be a part of the wedding. And I saw her, and she's in this yoga pose,
