I don't mean this year Reverend, but it's like he's our Abba, father, that's an affectionate term,

daddy God.

You can walk in and like jump up on his lap. That doesn't do away with reverence for him but it's

just like a child. You know if I was over at your house and if your child walked into the kitchen and said,

oh mom, I know I don't deserve anything.

I know I didn't make my bed today.

I know I haven't made the best grades.

I know I'm not doing everything I could, but if they fell on their knees and just got

the pleading, please, please, please, could I have something to eat?

Just a little bit.

I may not deserve a whole meal, but could you give me a little bit I may not deserve a whole meal but could you give me a little bit a little

and they just begged you and if I saw that I'd say something's wrong with this relationship. They ought to honor you and respect you but man there's

nothing wrong with the kid just coming in and say I'm hungry I want something to

eat. You know what the parent actually likes that. They like that familiarity. They like the fact that they will come and just draw on that relationship and don't have any fear about it.

But religion has taught us that we've got to come in and oh God

we're so unworthy and I know I don't deserve this and we just beg God for crumbs because

we're so unworthy. Your conscience has not been purged. You aren't
