And then verse three says,

every man that has this hope, the hope of seeing him and being like he is,

every man that has this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure.

Anybody who would take what I've said tonight and say, man, this is awesome.

I can go live in sin. You aren't born again. You want to purify yourself.

Now you may be doing a poor job of it because the law actually makes sin come alive and

it actually hurts you and it'll make you lust for the very thing

that you were told you can't have.

You may not be doing a very good job, but if you were truly born again, you hate the fact that you're letting sin dominate you, and you aren't looking for

an excuse to go living in, live in sin.

This won't set you free to sin, it'll set you free from sin.

It'll give you power.

As it says in Romans chapter 6, verse 14,

sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under the law but under grace.

The law binds you to sin and gives sin dominion over you.

But grace breaks the dominion of sin it doesn't set you free to sin it sets you

free from sin so anybody who would take the things that I'm teaching about how
