and that's what all of these verses that I quoted and used this morning were all about.

The law made sin come alive.

It condemned you.

It killed you.

It gave you a knowledge of sin, it didn't liberate you.

People who are trying to live by standards of right and wrong and thou shalt do this and this and this,

they are people that live under condemnation and guilt and

unworthiness. And let me just say, I explain this a lot more this morning. I

wish every one of you could be there to hear this but there is a purpose

for that a person who doesn't know the Lord needs to be aware of their sin they need to be guilt-ridden they need to be that if they don't receive forgiveness they're going to burn for eternity in hell.

If people had that knowledge you wouldn't see people flaunting their sins.

You wouldn't see people going out and murdering other people and then killing themselves

thinking, I got by with it.

They'd recognize it, man, they didn't get by with the thing.

They just ushered themselves into a Christless eternity where they're going to suffer forever. But see people have gotten

away from this and so the law was given to activate their conscience and make sin

come alive and them die and fear and condemnation come on them that would drive
