I'm going to explain this a little bit more as we go through this tonight,

but one of the things under the Old Covenant,

the Old Covenant could never purge your conscience.

Under the New Covenant, you can have your conscience. Under the New Covenant, you can have your conscience purged. You can live a sin, conscious, free life.

And that sounds like blasphemy to the average Christian and yet I'm going to show you these things.

So this says that the Old Testament could not deal with your conscience, but the New Covenant can.

Look in verse 14, Hebrews 914,

how much more shall the blood of Christ

who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God

purge your conscience offered himself without spot to God,

purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

If your conscience isn't purged from dead works, I could spend a lot more time amplifying on this, but this is

talking about you purging your conscience from this sense of I've got to do something

to earn it. I've got to be worthy to get a prayer

answered unless I'm living holy God won't move in my life. Those are dead works and

you have to be purged from these dead works in order to serve the living God.

You cannot truly serve God if you are a sin conscious person.
