the religious establishment at Thessalonica is connected to the religious establishment in

Jerusalem and they're taking orders from them. Right. In some sense. Who else sent Saul to go

We have just finished three episodes looking at first and second Thessalonians, and it brings

up a lot of questions about the day of the Lord, the second coming of Jesus, who is the

man of lawlessness.

And we really looked at those first two letters and we talked about

the main point of them about Paul encouraging the believers who were being persecuted that Jesus

was coming to write all wrongs. But we left a lot of details unanswered. We really left a lot

of details unanswered. That is what this episode is for is for yes and i wanted to preface this episode

just by saying like there are i am struggling yeah to make as best the best sense i can of these texts

these passages of scripture and i hold the opinion i'm about to say loosely um but i am exploring

themes that are happening throughout the Bible and trying to make sense

of them in conversation with First Thessalonians.

And I am really kind of excited to have like a speculative and experimental conversation

with you.
