We are beginning our look at the book of Jeremiah, which I am very excited about.

Seth, how are you feeling about that? I'm feeling pretty excited. Jeremiah is 5.2% of your entire Bible. It's the longest book in the Bible. It is the

longest book in the Bible. Longer than solves. Yeah, not by chapter or verse number,

but number of words and length on a scroll. It is. The longest book. It is very long.

It's a long book. Genesis is a close second. We've been studying for this for like over a month. So I've been joking you out the office. This is finals week. It's finals week. Yeah. I'm going to test you. You're going to test me. What is Jeremiah 512? No. Well, that's great. Okay. So what's the, what's a great place for us to start as we think about

the book of Jeremiah? I mean, the first thing you need to know about the book of Jeremiah is that

it's, Jeremiah is a prophet delivering prophecies. So I'm sure we've had this discussion a couple

different times before, but we should just talk about what is prophecy, like as a genre and like in

its particulars, what is a biblical prophet.

Okay. And it sounds like there's two things there. Like, one is prophetic literature,

so a type of writing style, a type of book you might read. And then there's also, like,

prophecy, like when it actually happened, what was Jeremiah doing?
