| 0:41.3 | He's not just a religious figure. He's not just some antiquated historical |
| 0:46.3 | personage who you've heard about as this good guy who did good things. He is so much more than that, which we've been discovering by looking |

| 0:59.6 | The apostle Paul has revealed to us that Jesus is the very image of the invisible God. |
| 1:08.9 | He is the agent of creation, everything we see, everything we know about he has created. |
| 1:16.8 | In his authority and power and supremacy have existed long before any of those things were created. |
| 1:25.0 | And it says in verse 17 of Colosha chapter one, |
| 1:29.0 | which we looked at yesterday, |
| 1:30.0 | he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. So he is the glue of the |
| 1:37.4 | universe so to speak. In fact if he did not exist the universe would not exist. |
| 1:45.1 | So when you hear people these days saying the universe willed X Y Z or the universe is conspiring for your good, my friends, just |
| 1:52.3 | reject that outright. The universe is a created |
| 1:55.2 | thing just like you are, just like the rock out in your frightened yard is. |
| 1:59.6 | The universe has no will of its own. The universe is a thing that is held together by the will and the being of Jesus Christ. |
| 2:10.0 | We need to be much more concerned with who Jesus is and what Jesus wills than we are anything having to do with the universe itself. |
