Two extraordinary journalists on this week, Vanity Fair writers, who we like to helicopter

into worlds that were not ordinarily accustomed to being in either the new right, the dissident

right, the trumpest right, there's all these different genres and subgenres and we're

all learning about them or annotating them like butterflies pin to the wall, we're trying

to figure out why they're doing, why they flap their wings the way they do and whether

we're going to have a civil war.

And so Jeff Charlotte, author of The Undertose, scenes from a slow civil war, perfect.

He's built all his reporting on articles he's done for Vanity Fair, you should Google

They are alarming, emotional, intense, they're like the fall out of January 6th, you can really

learn about what it looks like on the ground with the people who are there, who wanted to

be there, who are sympathetic to those people.

And then this week we're talking to James Pogue, maybe you've read some of his stories,

he goes inside the new right, the intellectual underpinnings, and the different kinds of

people following that movement, it is a movement, it's the thing that's happening.

And then there's the dissident fringe, the dissident right, that's what we're learning

about, and inside the dissident fringe, where the new right meets the far left and everyone's

bracing for the apocalypse, I'm scared, frankly.
