morning indeed a few quick little prefaces before we jump into this one if

you're watching on YouTube we're trying to keep Micah asleep so hang in there

with us but actually enjoy the show and secondly we are picking up on our

new devotional titled 21 Days of Discipleship there's a link to that in

the description if you guys want to follow on with us but in full transparency we

haven't fully vetted that entire thing yet so we might do a few days here a

few days there a few days here and there and so anyways we're excited to check

out some discipleship stuff because Tori and I we have I'm literally in

Austin to be disciple yes Tori has heard people that disciple her and we

encourage you all to have people that are discipling you so this is such a

great topic for this season but the scriptures all up in this diva so

Tori you can take it from here let's do it the devotional is titled in the

beginning and it starts with John one one that says in the beginning was the

word and the word was with God and the word was God if you're familiar with the

Bible this verse may be pretty recognizable if not don't worry it's not a

hidden secret in fact it echoes the very first line on the first page of

scripture Genesis one one says in the beginning God created the heavens and

the earth so why does John one of Jesus's closest friends open his book about

Jesus with a reference to Genesis he was showing us right up front who he

believed Jesus was John believed Jesus was God how did he come to this
