A note to listeners: This episode includes some references to thoughts surrounding suicide that may be disturbing. If you or someone you know needs help, please speak to qualified professionals. The Suicide and Crisis Hotline (formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in English or Spanish. They can be reached by dialing or texting 988.

Welcome to part one of my conversation with my baby brother Johnny Lopez. In this episode, you’ll learn a lot about Johnny – including what it was like to lose both parents, what it was like being raised by me, why he’s decided to live a life out of the limelight and how our mother continues to teach him life lessons. And stay tuned for part two tomorrow! We’ll hear more about how Johnny felt when Emilio asked for my hand in marriage and we’ll have a fun Q&A where we’ll ask a ton of fun questions.
