Hello my friends, welcome back to the morning mindset. Hope you're ready. It's time for

you and me to get our minds aligned with the truth of God for today. Let's focus on

today. It's nothing too far ahead, not about tomorrow or the weeks to come. Let's just

do our job to hear what Jesus has to say. In his word today, we're going to be looking

at John chapter 6, verses 66 through 71, and then let's align our minds with the truth

that he speaks. John 6, 66 through 71 reads this way. After this, many of his disciples

turned back and no longer walked with him. So Jesus said to the 12, do you want to go

away as well? Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words

of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know that you are the Holy

One of God. Jesus answered them, did I not choose you, the 12, and yet one of you is

a devil? He spoke of Judas, the son of Simon is scary yet, for he, one of the 12, was

going to betray him. Now, friends, what we find here is a situation where many people

who had been following after Jesus because of his miracles were turning away. Now the reason

many of these disciples turned back and no longer walked with him is because of what

he just said. He was using the analogy of his body and blood, and speaking it in very

literal ways that made it sound like he was saying, you have to be a cannibal. You have

to eat actual flesh, you have to drink actual blood. When that's not what he was saying,

what he was impressing upon them was that they have to be all in as his disciples. They

have to put him as a higher priority in their lives than anything else if they really

want to come after him as a disciple. And so, because of this misunderstanding, because

of this difficulty, many who were following him turned back and no longer walked with
