Welcome back my friends. It is time for us to join together in aligning our minds with the truth of God.

That's what the morning might say is all about so I welcome you I ask you to engage in this five minutes

don't let your mind wonder don't let yourself get distracted I know some of you

are driving some of you are on the, but just do what you can safely to focus right now.

Focus your thoughts on the truths that we're about to discuss.

We're in 1st Peter, chapter 4, versus 10 and 11, where the Apostle Peter has revealed

to us that each of us has received a gift, and he's talking about spiritual gifts, gifts

given to us by the Holy Spirit that we're to use to serve one

another.

And he says that the management of that gift is our responsibility.

And he gives some examples here in verse 11 of what that might look like.

Now keep in mind the examples that he gives are not all the examples that could exist.

There are many other gifts than what he refers to.

But he says in verse 11 as one example, whoever speaks as one who speaks oracles of

God. Now this word speaks is referring to one who teaches

someone who proclaims God's word. They are to do so with a boldness and with an authority

because it is God's word that they're speaking. You see that's the whole point.

This is not make up your own philosophy.

This is not make up your own teaching and start a cult.

That's not what he's talking about.

He's saying, those of you who have been gifted with a spiritual gift of teaching

are to teach God's word and realize that that word is authoritative. So therefore you speak it
