Discernment the goal of which is to help you to think biblically to help you to think critically and to compare what people are saying in the name of

God to the word of God. Listen we don't really have to fear false teachers. They are

no threat to you as long as you know your Bible.

If you know what God's word really teaches and what it really says,

then when somebody comes along and says to you, the Bible says,

X, Y, and Z, all contradict what God's word says, real simple.

You would know that that person is a complete nut, and you can rebuke him and call him to repentance and the forgiveness of sins in Jesus' name and to call them back to sound doctrine.

It's one of those things. I mean, we really do not have anything to fear when it comes to false teachers.

However, if you don't know your Bible, then you are completely defenseless against these

wolves. And in that case, then you've got some worrying to do. You see, think of it

this way. What does the Bible talk about, talks about wolves in sheep's clothing? The thing

is that the wolves nowadays, I mean, they don't even try hard to look like sheep.

They don't really try that hard. I mean, their teeth are sticking out, the sheep skins they're wearing they got holes in

them I mean it's old and ugly and dusty see the problem is is that the sheep

nowadays are not being fed in God's word and as a result of it they're not

healthy enough to ward off the wolves. Feed the sheep, God's word and things will, you know,

clear right up. Anyway, that's one of my hobby horses just
