All right, guys, well, it's buyout season. The Nuggets have an open roster spot. They're active. They're looking at guys from the buyout market. We're going to run through some names and talk about some potential needs that Nuggets have. But do buyout candidates actually make a difference? We saw last year or not last year, but the year before when the Nuggets got Reggie Jackson. Yeah. Didn't really end up making that big of a difference. Did cost them some second round picks. Yeah, I guess it made a difference in that regard. I actually am going to zig on you on this one. I think that they could make a difference this year, especially with the injuries that Denver has. They have some real needs, ball handling, backup power forward.

Those are real things that I think could make a positive impact on just their ability

to stay healthy and maybe even playable in the playoffs in a way that preserves everybody's

health.

But I think the real thing that's underrated about the buyout is it might actually be more

of a lever for next year, meaning we hope this guy can give us some minutes.

But we also know coming back from injury and we get him in and he has a good time here for a couple months.

And that lends us to getting him on another deal this summer where he sticks around because he sees the path.

And I actually wonder if that's Denver's like primary thought process going into the

buyout. Well, that was the idea with Reggie Jackson. And it turned up, they got him on the buyout

market. He was the number one guy. He had other suitors. And the Nugget said, we'll have you for

this year and next year. Right. And then fit them in the ass, but they got him. Yeah, I think for obviously, it can be greatly exaggerated their impact on the championship needle.

To the point where actually almost everyone knows it now, and it's commonly said,

the nuggets have needs in the interim, like between now and the finals, guys are dropping

like flies.

Almost their entire power forward room is out, right? Even include Peyton Watson, just like maybe technically a guard, but, but spot starts at four. So, like, they need the depth. Like, they need holes to help them kind of hold their position. They need to fill some of these holes to hold their position between now in the playoff. So especially when you consider that they can do this,

fill out the roster while still staying under the tax, which is their goal,

the question really becomes why not? Why not do it?

Yeah, usually bio guys don't make a big difference, but for the nuggets in the position

they're in, they kind of need another guy. They just do, man. All these injuries have been

piling up all season. The
