Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk

or radio. There's a lot of positive news out there this morning, ladies and gentlemen, and by

positive news, I don't mean the kind of promises being offered by the government, which

will be broken down the road. No, what I mean is that people are starting to wake up and actually

take action, and people are also starting to get a little peeved, shall we say,

at the idea that there's one rule for them and another rule for us. Because of course,

if you happen to belong to the UEFA members club, you can come to Britain. You don't have to quarantine. You can do whatever you want. You can claim you're in a bubble. You can be fetid,

you can be catered to, you can be pampered, you can be put up in a hotel.

And you don't have to quarantine. You don't have to be given the kind of food that we told you about that was being handed out yesterday to people who have paid 1,700 pounds for the privilege.

Indeed, if you are in UEFA, you can do whatever you want. You can go to Cornwall, a bit like the people people from the G7 but there wasn't quite so many of them although I suppose once you add in all the bodyguards

and all the lackeys and all the diplomats it's probably the same thing but how on

earth can the government of this nation say to us do you know what we might be

able to let you do some stuff in a couple of weeks we might be able to even let you do some stuff on July the 19th.

But you can't do it now. No, no, no. It's far too dangerous to do it now.

Because look, there's another variant. We're calling it Delta Plus. Whatever happens to the Greek alphabet?

I don't know what comes after Delta, but it's certainly not Delta Plus, as I'm concerned. I seem to remember back in the vast mists of time when I used to study ancient Greek,

not for very long, mind you.

There was definitely not a Delta Plus.
