The week is running out fast, ladies and gentlemen, and as ever, there is an awful lot to be getting on with.

We've got government ministers preparing to announce some more countries can be added to the green list so we can go on holiday there without having to quarantine on our return.

But I'm not entirely convinced that it's going to be great news.

I think it might be a little tiny, tiny, teeny weeny bit of possibly reasonable news,

but I think that's probably about it. Meanwhile, over in Germany,

Angela Merkel reckons we shouldn't be able to go anywhere in Europe at all,

thanks to the Delta variant. Charming, isn't it? It's always good to get travel advice from the Germans,

particularly with the next match for England in the Euros coming up on Tuesday. Here's an idea. Perhaps Boris Johnson should

ban all German officials from UEFA from coming here by way of retaliation. Do you see how stupid

this kind of thing can get? What business is it of Angela Merkel's? How many Britons go on

holiday to the European Union? Whether it's Germany or Spain or Greece.

By the way, she's only the woman in charge of Germany.

She's not in charge of Spain.

She's not in charge of Greece.

She's not in charge of Italy.

And she's not in charge of even Gibraltar.

So I think she needs to pipe down, quite frankly.
