Today I'm here with Mike, referred to me by his friend Adrian.

Mike has done over 10 years in the California prison system,

but what's particularly interesting about this story is prior to his incarceration,

he grew up in a neighborhood where he was getting bullied,

and to get protection he had to join one of the gangs.

Those gangs were the bloods and the crypts, and he's a white guy.

So going to prison, the street gang stuff, conflicts with the racial gang stuff,

basically it can be KOS for certain things.

If you've got certain tattoos and you clicked up with the wrong people,

if you're a white guy, but I'm going to let Mike explain that more fully right now.

Pretty close, you know, it's, it's, the only difference man is it,

I didn't really grow up in that neighborhood.

I actually, you know, I'll give you a little bit of my background.

I'm from California, I live on the east coast now.

I'd rather not say where specifically.

But I grew up in a trailer, and in that trailer was trailer park is kind of poor,

and you know, there's some kids who kind of ran the park.

There's a family of five specifically.

And I actually didn't join a gang till I moved to the suburbs,

but you know, that's a whole story too.
