The Lakers have some decisions to make before the roster is finalized. The most prominent is around the 14th roster spot, widely expected to go to another center. Or at the least, a really big power forward who can absorb minutes at the five. With Anthony Davis's health a priority, and a spotty injury history, reliable backups are critical. Right now, the Lakers only have free agent signee Jaxson Hayes, who disappointed in a big way over four years in New Orleans, and two-way signee Colin Castleton, a rookie out of Florida. Not exactly the most comforting options for a team that figures to lean on its backup center fairly significantly throughout the year. So who do they go get? The names aren't super exciting, and all options have serious flaws (which is to be expected, given the Lakers can only offer a minimum deal). Old faces like Wenyen Gabriel, Mo Bamba, and Montrezl Harrell, or new (to the Lakers, at least) guys like Christian Wood, Bismack Biyombo, and Willy Hernangomez.
