The show was silly and all, but you got

really attached to the characters and you hoped for the best for them. The creator of the show

Greg Garcia did do and ask me anything a while back and explained the cliffhanger and what the

end of the show was supposed to be. Long story short, Earl, Jr's father, was going to be someone

famous and that Earl wasn't going to finish the list, but instead he runs into someone doing their own list and finds out his list caused

people to have their own lists. He then tears up his list and lives the rest of his life

with good karma. In almost every fan fiction posted before 2010, you'll find a disclaimer that

says something like,

I do not own the characters within they belong to the author. I always thought that was so stupid,

like, of course you don't own Spock. Apparently people started doing that after the author of

The Vampire Chronicles made threats of legal action against fan fiction authors who were

creating not-for-profit works of fiction

because they just loved the series. Fanfictions can be really long too, like almost as long as books or longer.
