Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard.

Hope things are well with you wherever you are today. I hope it's payday for you today.

For most of you by wage owners, it should be payday today.

So hopefully you have the funds to get out and go do something fun this weekend.

We are almost to football season officially.

Next weekend, we have high school football.

The next Thursday, we have junior college football, and then we have Mississippiissippi state football there's a couple weeks away now

almost almost to the end of the drought and you know i don't really enjoy preseason NFL football

you know because the notables don't play sometimes it's good to see like if you've got a rooting

interest you know with some of our young guys it's fun to watch the raiders and see jonathan abram fly around that sort of stuff but

all that does is really just kind of wet the appetite you know what i'm saying it's like it's not

satisfying to watch preseason football i guess the first cup ball games you're kind of like oh welcome

home old friend you know but the games don't don't count in the win-loss record.

And the effort is not always there.

You know, of course, like again, for young guys trying to make a roster, it's interesting to

keep up with all of that.

Like Hard Knocks, it's been so much fun to watch because Johnson and Abram has been, you know,

such a star in that performance there.

And we expected that.

You know, I mean, Hard Knocks has been kind of an annual tradition, kind of a ride of summer,

that every year you watch that.

And it was great when the right was with the Ravens, even though I'm a Steward's fan.
