| 0:51.7 | Kicking it off. We're starting today with the 2025 draft. And joining me to talk about that, a long overdue first-time guest on the show, very excited to have him on. One of the many people who cover the draft for us at ESPN do it so well, it's my colleague, Matt Miller. Matt, how are you? I'm doing great. I've been a big fan for a long time, especially your trade articles. They always, they going. You know, who's getting moved where? And the crazy part is how often you're right about those. So it's an honor to be on with you, man. I'm a big fan. I'm excited to do this. And I'm excited to have sort of a look back at a recent draft. We're still evaluating these guys a year into the NFL. |
| 1:28.5 | You know, I want to hear what you think maybe about some of these guys coming in, whether a fit might not have it all that great. Maybe there's things you saw on their college tape or their college production that you feel vindicated by, having something to do it at the pro level, but still these guys are a year into, but hopefully will be lengthy careers |
| 1:43.9 | for many of these first round picks. |
| 1:45.2 | We're going to go one through 32. |
| 1:46.6 | We're going to redraft the first round of the NFL draft. We will see how it goes. But obviously, since you're the guest, I have to give you the first overall pick. Tennessee is on the board. Who are they taking with the first overall pick of the 2025 NFL redraft? |
| 2:01.6 | Yeah, Bill, the Titans originally took Cam Ward. I'm not going to mess with that. I know it was a bit of an up and down season for Cam. I thought the tape was better than the stats. You know, if you dig in, if you just box score, Scout, Cam Ward, you're going to say, oh, my gosh, like, this guy didn't look great. But if you look at, especially where he was after Thanksgiving, which I peek behind the curtain. |
| 2:20.5 | When I look at rookies, I really start paying attention after Thanksgiving. Give them time to acclimate, get comfortable, learn the speed of the game. What are you doing the kind of the back half of the season? I thought he was really good after their by week. So I'm going to stick with Cam Ward here. You know, he cut down on his interceptions late in the year. I thought things started to slow down. And he did this with the team that had nothing at wide receiver and very little in the run game. So I'll stay with Cam Ward. Completely agree here with Cam Ward. And like you said, the tape was much more forgiving than the numbers. I mean, I saw a guy making smart decisions, getting to the right place with the football, putting the ball in good places, reacting to blitz as well. You know, you want the sack rate to come down, obviously. The offensive line was not necessarily all that great. Getting your OC and your, basically your offensive architect fired in September, typically not going to lead |
| 3:08.9 | to a great rookie season for you. Sorry, in October, I should say. But, you know, overall, I just thought |
