Wanted to talk to you today about is there any evidence in the Karen Reed trial?

Have we seen any evidence yet?

Is this a trial of eight weeks of no evidence?

So we like to think of evidence as things that we can touch, things that can be tested.

But everything in this trial is evidence.

In England, it's called, when you testify, it's called giving evidence, not an expression used here.

But we have to remember that what the prosecutor is doing is he's building a house.

And some of the things that he's building his house with, so he's starting with a strong foundation. And so when the

house is done, you can see the whole house. We can only see, or the jurors can only see. We have

those of us who've read a lot of the early filings can see more of it.

At the end, the jury can see the whole house and make a judgment. But when we have testimony, and so what this wrongful conviction movement has done so well has put a narrative into the public sphere

that human beings are not none of them are trustworthy with what we see what we hear

we can't remember anything So eyewitnesses are very unreliable,

terribly unreliable. Our memory is so unreliable that even really traumatic things that

would cement in your memory we we can't even trust.
