The athletics, Mike Sando, has been putting out quarterback rankings for a few years now.

They are an evaluation of the quarterbacks in the league by key front office execs.

And here are the people that he is using in this year's breakdown of all of the quarterbacks in the league.

Putting them into tiers, five tiers, I'll explain what those are in a moment, but there are

50 voters who were granted anonymity to share their very candid evaluations.

Six general managers, six assistant GMs, six former GMs, five other executives,

eight head coaches, 19 other coaches, including 15 quarter coordinators.

Each voter placed 34 veteran quarterbacks into five tiers, from best tier one to

worst tier five. Quarterbacks were then ranked by average vote and placed into tiers based

on vote distribution. The survey does not include rookies because voters have not seen them play in the NFL.

You should wait until we see them play in the NFL.

So, Tier 1, they actually have five quarterbacks in Tier 1, and they describe Tier 1.

A quarterback can carry his team each week.

The team wins because of him.

He expertly handles peer passing situations.

He has no real holes in his game.

Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow tied for number one overall among the tier one quarterbacks in which there are five.
