where there remains absolutely no pleasure whatsoever in seeing our analyses and predictions of Brexit

come horribly and inexorably true.

The mess continues.

The people who have led us into this mess continue to claim that the only way out of the mess is by leaping into even more mess, which they continue to call no deal. So where do you want to start today? How do you want to play it together? I'm not, it's odd, actually. I sort of oscillate emotionally at the moment between a sort of almost a resigned bemusement.

Because, you know, for good or for ill, if the economic impact of whatever happens next is negative,

then thankfully me and mine will be slightly better insulated from it than many.

Nowhere near as well insulated from it as people like

the owners of the Ritz, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Boris Johnson, quite a few billionaires actually

lining up on that side of, they'll be fine, all those billionaires that told us to vote for

this, they'll be absolutely fine.

The rest of us will perhaps struggle in varying degrees.
