It's now been over three weeks since six-year-old Lily Sullivan and her four-year-old

brother, Jack, were first reported missing from their rural Nova Scotia home.

As we detailed in a series of previous nighttime episodes, the children's mother and stepfather

told police that they had awoken at about 10 a.m. on Friday, May 2nd, to find Lily and Jack

gone, with no sign of how they left or where they may have went.

What followed has been one of the most intense and expansive search efforts this region

has ever seen, and one of the highest profile missing persons

cases that the province of Nova Scotia has served as the setting for.

Over this past week, the story has evolved in many significant ways.

The Victoria Day long weekend brought with it a second large-scale search, one more focused

and coordinated than the last.

Now while the results of that effort remain limited, we do have a little bit of information,

and it gives us some clarity, but also raises some new questions.

There were also several notable news reports that brought renewed attention to this case,

along with a renewed wave of speculation and online accusations.

In response to some of them, the children's stepfather,

Daniel Martel, publicly addressed some of the things being said about him. And perhaps,

the most telling update is that the RCMP appears to have expanded their investigation beyond
