As believers in Christ, we recognize that we have a real enemy. His name is Satan and he hates marriage and your relationship is facing spiritual attack whether you know it or not. How do you fight for each other? I'm John

Fuller joined by my focus on the family colleagues Aaron and Greg

Smalley and Greg you've spoken about this I know you believe passionately that

couples are under spiritual attack a hundred percent is a part of life we We just need to accept that. There are going to be mental health

challenges. There are things. Depression, anxiety, those kinds of things that will create a very similar experience as does spiritual warfare,

let's just be aware of both.

For example, you know, when I'm feeling really super hopeless or despair, but I just think that Satan is all over that.

In many ways, the analogy is it's like a news anchor reading from a teleprompter that I think

Satan gets a hold of that and starts typing in stuff. He starts programming

the mental language. So we're reading it it sounds kind of right and yet we really buy into that I think increased spiritual

doubt. A lot of negative thoughts like if Aaron and I are at a hard time, a moment, a season,

it's easy for him to convince me that, oh, see,

she's never going to change.

It's always going to be like this.

So even those extreme sort of language, never always,

that to me that's spiritual warfare when I'm isolated

and don't feel that sense of community

or even if there are certain spiritual practices like prayer,

reading the scripture, going to church when I'm not interested in those things. I think

Satan is all over that. We just need to be aware that he is present in going after us.
