0:13.6	I guess that's a silly question. I think all of us have had a moment of failure.
0:17.2	I remember when I was young, feeling the weight of failure so much. And I know that
0:23.0	we're always our own worst critics, but there's something about failure that feels different
0:28.8	when it's not just about a personal failure, but it comes at the hands of other people. So maybe
0:35.5	that's getting fired at a job. I think almost every
0:39.7	entrepreneur I know has been fired from a job at least once in their lives. Today we're looking
0:47.6	at this idea of failure. I think most of us, if we haven't felt like we've failed, we've certainly had moments where we feel
0:56.5	like we've missed the mark. I know even in ministry, sometimes what happens is selfishness gets in the
1:04.1	way and we know that God is calling us to do something and maybe we just don't do it. We know that he's called
1:09.9	us to do it and yet we struggle.
1:13.3	Those things happen. It's part of the human experience. Well, today we're finishing up
1:19.1	the gospel of John with chapter 21. On the surface, it looks like it's a story about fishing,
1:30.0	but it's actually a story about you and me.
1:32.2	It's about restoration after failure.
1:35.6	It's about those moments where we find direction after we feel like we've been lost.
1:42.7	And it's about stepping back into the mission that God has for us and often when we do that
1:49.6	we still feel like we're unworthy but Jesus he meets us where we're at and so today as we
2:00.2	step into the story together I want you to hold in your
2:03.8	heart what it means to be restored and called and sent by Jesus, even after things happen
2:12.1	that we think disqualify us. I'm going to be in John chapter 21, starting at verse 1.
