Oh boy, I feel I am so late to the party with mad appreciation for the Taylor Swift song,

I can do it with a broken heart.

I'll admit, sometimes I am a bit behind the times with fresh music but I kind of like it that way.

Maybe it's a rebel thing. I don't want to listen to what everyone's listening to right off the bat? I like to do it at my own pace. But what do I have to say about this

fantastic song today.

Number one, I think she's wildly brave for sharing how she performs,

describing it as even lies.

I can show you lies when she's showing up and giving her

performances on stage 100% even though behind the scenes she wants to die.

Right? She has a broken heart.

I've really been thinking about this and why this song is striking such a chord with so many people.

I've seen it pop up in lots of different conversations and I wanted to offer a couple of ideas here.

At different stages in our lives we've all had a broken heart.

I can think of a couple of ideas that just immediately spring to mind. I remember when I was going through my divorce in my 20s showing up at work with a smile on my face, right,

working in sales, there's an old ad age. you can't afford to have one bad day in sales because it's not about you, it's about you serving others.

And so I would have to wake up, put all of my emotions to one side and show up into my job, not unlike Taylor, albeit in a far more,

a different setting, far less grand setting, I had to show up with my broken heart and perform my job. Right, it's called

being a professional.

friend of mine here in Miami, I don't know how many baby showers she's gone to

after frankly I don't know how many failed IVF attempts. She doesn't resent her friends, she doesn't

begrudge the showers, she goes, she smiles, she brings a gift gift but I know I know what's going on inside of her and it's
