| 0:35.1 | funding for public media. And sadly sadly that includes KCRW. |
| 0:40.4 | This means that $1.3 million that had already been set aside for KCRW has been taken away. |
| 0:49.3 | Now I have been in public radio for more than two decades. |
| 0:53.1 | I've been through really hard moments like this, |
| 0:55.3 | although not nearly as hard and threatening as this one. We will not just survive, but continue |
| 1:01.6 | to thrive. There's that level of determination from KCRW and from the entire public |
| 1:07.3 | broadcasting community. That said, we could really use your help now. This is a time |
| 1:15.1 | to show up if you can. I mean, in my 20 years in public radio, I have seen the value of public radio. |

| 1:35.4 | I've been welcomed into people's homes, into communities. I have elevated voices. I have told |
| 1:41.8 | stories about people, their political views, their dreams. I've also watched |
| 1:47.5 | what public radio means to so many people and listened to people describe how it's their |
| 1:52.4 | connection to the world for them, their families. People also rely on public broadcasting |
| 1:58.3 | when there are emergencies in their communities. If they want to |
| 2:01.7 | understand what's happening, local events, local and state elections, and of course national |
