The other day, I was at the grocery store,

and as I headed down the aisle with all the sweets

and candy and chocolate, there was a dad with his young daughter who was having an absolute

meltdown and it didn't take long to figure out what was causing this meltdown as I overheard the sobs and the screams,

but I really wanted, I really want it. And the dad was clearly trying to comfort her, but it was

evident that he was also trying hard not to just give in. And it brought back so many memories

of me and my twin sister giving my parents a really hard time over things we really wanted.

As we get older though, we can't really throw temper tantrums about the things we want in life but don't get.

But we can show our frustration or anger through our words and actions, which can be really problematic.

We can even become quite obsessed with getting the things we want in life.

This sense of, I'll do whatever it takes, or if this doesn't happen, I won't be truly happy,

can be very prevalent. And it can lead to a lot of envy and jealousy,

which can become an overlay to our existence.
