I am so excited this month.

It's very different.

It's a little different.

We're joined by Amal Bu Habib.

She's a senior staff attorney at Farm Stand.

Amal has spent most of her career representing farm workers as an attorney and later

director of Southern Migrant Legal Services. She's now at Farm Stand. And there she's pursuing

cases that highlight and seek justice for frontline food workers. I'm not sure exactly who that

includes, but it's probably a lot of people. And those are the people that feed us. And

she's exploring new ways to create a humane, fair, and accessible food system, which we all are in

favor of. Amal has all these unbelievably fascinating things in her bio, including work as a journalist

in Beirut, working for the Brennan Center. But the one I'm going to mention in particular is she earned her JD from Fordham University School of Law, because so did I.
