This show obviously deals with a variety of first responders, and occasionally other people

who are there to help or intervene in a bad situation.

Those people are called, and a lot of times they're walking into an unknown set of circumstances.

Little info is sometimes available, and they have to go and figure out everything when they arrive on scene and formulate a plan to have whatever's happening come to some sort of resolution.

When you think of these responders, you think of people who are willing, able, and most of the time eager to help in whatever scenario is thrown at them.

But these stoic individuals are people, too.

They're just like the rest of us in most regards.

A portion of a good opening dialogue to one of my favorite movies,

End of Watch, says it best.

Behind my badge is a heart like yours.

I bleed.

I think.

I love.

And yes, I can be killed.

And although I'm but one man,

I have thousands of brothers and sisters who are the same as me.

That quote couldn't be more true.

These responders have feelings.

They suffer through hardships.

They have money problems.

They have bad relationships.

They have family problems.
