Here we are in late July, mid, sorry, mid July, closing in on late July.

And when the calendar turns, this thing heats up fast.

So you generally have, you know, the entirety of an election year is the primary for the

And then the summer is the conventions and kind of this lag where people take a break

because the primaries have worn them out.

And then it heats up through the fall.

And then you've got your election at the beginning of November.

And then you begin this process of the transition to the new president if in fact there is a transition

and it's not a re-election.

But before that, particularly the year before, you have a lot of jockeying.

You've got these campaigns raising money and trying to find ways to build a support base.

And it's relatively slow moving and everybody's out there doing their thing.

And then you have that Iowa caucus.

And what happens is you've had four years to build your support base.

If you don't fare well, you'll typically see two or three people drop out after Iowa.

And you'll have some that should have dropped out, but they don't.

They stay around till New Hampshire because it's a different Republican voter in New Hampshire

So you go from Iowa, the Iowa caucus, which will usually crown the top two candidates.

And then you'll have three, four, and five hoping to go to New Hampshire and get a win.
