Today I want to address an assertion I sometimes hear people make

that it's not possible to be 100% vegan because there's no way to avoid causing harm in this world.

But the implication when that statement is made is usually that we shouldn't even bother being vegan at all because it's not a perfect world. And I agree that it's not a perfect

world, but because many people mistakenly believe that being vegan is about being

perfect, they often accuse vegans of being hypocrites and they don't hesitate

to point out all the areas where they are indeed imperfect. Now this pressure, this criticism

might not even come from others, It might come from you. You might strive to do the best you can and still accidentally eat something that was derived from an animal.

You might feel bad for doing so. You might feel, and you might feel like what's the point?

I'm here to tell you the point.

When you look at the world through a vegan lens, you do begin to notice animal products and things you never even thought there would be animal products in

You start to feel overwhelmed you start to feel guilty you start to feel judged by everyone around you for not doing it right, for not being perfect, and you wait for the

vegan police to come knocking on your door to take away your vegan status.

There is no such thing as a perfect world and there is no such thing as

a licensed certified vegan. And if perfection and purity are what you're after in a world that is by its nature
