Welcome back to the morning mindset. Thank you for taking the time to get your mind

aligned with the truth of God. This is a very important thing that we do every

morning.

Whether you do it with the morning mindset,

whether you do it in the morning or not,

getting your mind aligned with God's truth whenever we do it is vital because we can only live effectively as we

live according to what God says is true.

And today we want to look at the truth of Jesus Christ as king.

That's what Peter introduces to us in 1 Peter Chapter 3,

verse number 22. He says when Jesus rose from the grave he went into heaven and

is now seated at the right hand of God with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.

Now it's interesting, the phrases that Peter uses there to describe all the things that

are subordinate to Jesus.

He says, Angels, which we have an idea of these white creatures with big feathery wings

and whether that's actually what they look like or not we don't know we just

know that in scripture there are a variety of types of angels and some of them look

maybe kind of like that but others look honestly quite bizarre with eyes all over their bodies and multiple heads and wings I mean just all kinds of strange things we can't get into today

But the point is that Jesus rules over all

angels who serve God in what capacities they serve. Peter also says he is overall authorities. Now that could be some other kind of a

reference to a spiritual being of some sort in some sort of spiritual hierarchy that exists on the spiritual realm, but it doesn't have to be.

He could be talking about any kind of authority, even earthly authorities.

And he goes on and he says, and powers having been subjected to him.
