Welcome back my friends. It is time for you and for me to get our minds aligned with the

truth of God. I hope you don't tire of hearing me say that because that is the vital task we have each day as we rise

whatever time of day it is. When we begin the day we've got to get ourselves on track to live that day according to God's will.

And we do that in the realm of the mind.

We do that by getting our thinking correct.

And the scriptures help us to do so

because the scriptures are the truth of God.

We've been looking at the book of 1st Peter

and we are beginning 1st Peter chapter for today and we're going to talk about it says

since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh arm yourselves with the same way of thinking for whoever has suffered in the

flesh has ceased from sin so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer longer for human passions, but for the will of God.

Oh my goodness, talking about getting our minds align with the truth, this verse speaks directly

to the fact that we need to

take the initiative to adjust our thinking. Let's read it again.

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh,

arm yourselves with the same way of thinking.

So let's stop for a moment.

What way of thinking is he referring to? Well he's referring to the type of

mindset that enabled Jesus to suffer and bleed and die and unjust death.

You see he's telling us we need to take on the mindset of Jesus.

Well, why was Jesus able to suffer on the cross?

What was going on in his thinking?
