Hi, everyone. This is your host, Kelly, from the Storytellers Live team.

On each episode, a different woman shares her story often in a live setting with the bottom

line being that God is good.

On today's episode, you'll hear from Heather, who has not only fought through several

open heart surgeries and breast

cancer, but has also become a mom to five children through international adoption. Heather and her

husband most recently adopted two older children, a brother and sister from Ukraine, who were 15 and 11

years old, respectively at the time. This was in early 2015.

Whenever you talk with Heather,

she is one of these people who comes across is so calm and collected and poised.

So it's almost easy to assume that her faith and decisions

for really everything she's gone through, not just the adoptions,

that all has come easily.

But Heather shares the reality of their decision process for their last adoption, which was far

from easy or comfortable.

And I can personally relate to that as my husband and I adopted our daughter Caroline from

China when she was 12.

And while we were very drawn to her, the process of recognizing God's plan and reaching a

decision to take that leap of faith was a little overwhelming, to say the least.
