Today's 10-minute walk is helping both of us remain fitness consistent.

Hi, I'm Dave. Let's go for a walk.

Is there a best time of day to take a walk?

I believe the answer is yes.

And in today's episode, I want to look at four different parts of the day and talk about

the pluses and the minuses. And then near the end, I will give you my opinion as to the best time

of day to take a walk. And in full disclosure, this walk that I'm taking is happening in the morning. It is before

sunrise, although I do have early daylight. The skies are cloudy. So even when the sun rises

above the horizon, it's going to be very unspectacular it's simply just

going to be getting brighter and right now it's bright enough that I can see

where I'm walking and it'll probably be even brighter at the end of our ten minutes

together so that's when I'm walking,

and that's when most of these episodes are recorded,

when most of these walks happen for me, and that is the morning.

But let me step back from my love of mornings for a moment

and talk about why mornings are a good time.

I believe that for most of us, the mornings are probably the easiest time of the day to build a habit that's a regular routine.

Because we have more control over our mornings than most of us do during the rest of the

day, particularly if we work and we have a busy schedule.

Mornings tend to be when we can have the greatest control over our calendar, which gives

us more opportunities to create that habit and to build that
