Well, I gave my life to Christ as a freshman in college.

I grew up unchurched.

So the concept of going to a church or to a Sunday school class

or vacation Bible school was completely foreign to me.

I was raised in a great home, great morals,

and to treat people with honor and dignity

and respect. My parents have been married to this day 54 years. And so growing up in a strong

home where my dad and my mom and dad, both hard workers, just my older brother and I, but church

was not a part of our regular routine. So

through a series of events of a young lady sharing her faith and being a witness of her faith,

to me, my freshman year of college, I gave my life to Christ. I realized that I was searching

for something. I realized that I was also running from something. I realized that I was searching for something.

I realized that I was also running from something.

I realized that I needed to surrender to something, and that something was a someone, and he had a name.

His name is Jesus.

So December of 1993, I gave my life to Christ as a freshman in college.

And one of the first things that I did after I gave my life to Christ was to develop an insatiable appetite to read the Word of God.

After I got saved, I did what was next.

It was almost like the consummation of a marriage.
