Hey, friends, welcome back to my podcast. We are continuing our back to the basics homemaking series here, off season five and today we're talking about

0:23.3

a really important topic and this is something that I think we just tend to not talk about very

0:29.5

often maybe we're embarrassed by it uh I feel like I have been embarrassed by this before um

0:34.7

and that is what do we do when homemaking feels boring? Or we feel like we're not

0:41.3

necessarily very stimulated or we feel like our days are just kind of on cycle, on repeat.

0:47.0

I think you can have one hand, maybe you're feeling really bored. You're feeling like your

0:51.6

talents aren't being put to good use. You're feeling like, oh, what is this? On the other hand, you can feel so stressed out and so overwhelmed that it just,

0:59.5

you feel like listless. Like you don't have any joy in your homemaking. I think both of those

1:11.9

four steps to recovering joy in your home. And this is definitely something that I have felt

we had two sets of twins back to back. So we went from zero kids to

1:29.1

four kids in two years and then had Magnolia 18 months later. I was really, I was really drowning.

1:37.5

I was very tired, obviously. And it's just poopy diapers all day long and barely trying to get

1:43.9

dinner on the table and you know just

1:45.4

really feeling like this is on one hand i'm really overwhelmed but on another hand this is really

1:50.9

boring stuff like this is very like difficult but mundane i guess is the word this season i'm in now

1:58.2

is very different than that i wouldn't say I'm ever bored, but I'm

2:02.2

definitely often overwhelmed, often feeling like there's too much on my plate, there's too many,

2:06.9

you know, things pulling for my attention. And you definitely can have that, on the other hand,

2:11.2

kind of that like, I'm feeling burnt out, I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'm not feeling like I have a
