Good morning and welcome to our second service on Sunday morning. We have two services,

the first of which is our Bible prophecy update that we do weekly. And second service is the

sermon. It's a verse by verse study through the Bible. We're currently in the book of Hebrews. And

today, Lord willing, we're going to actually complete chapter 12. And our text will be verses 25 through 29. So I'll ask those of you that are

here if you're able, if not where you're seated is fine, but if you would stand, you can follow

along as I read beginning in verse 25. The writer of Hebrews by the Holy Spirit writes,

See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks.

If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth,

how much less will we if we turn away from him who

warns us from heaven?

At that time, verse 26, his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, once more, I will shake not only

the earth, but also the heavens.

The words once more, verse 27, indicate the removing of what can be shaken, that is created things so that what cannot

be shaken may remain.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful.

And so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe for our God, verse 29, is a consuming fire.

We'll ask God to bless our understanding.

Father in heaven, this is a powerful passage for sure.

And it's one for which we need desperately for the Holy Spirit to give us understanding.

Because I don't think there's anyone here in this your church that wants to miss anything that you have for us in your word today.

That's why we're here today. We need to hear you speak into our lives in and through your word as only you can and you're always so faithful
