join me for the next 10 minutes. Renee recently posted this in the Start Today Facebook group. If you're not familiar with that,

the Today Show since the beginning of June has been encouraging their viewers and anyone else

to get moving, to walk every day. And so Renee joined the group and she wrote this.

I joined this thinking I would get motivated to start my journey.

But I'm still sitting and doing absolutely nothing.

I have a treadmill and an elliptical that's a dust collector, L.O.L.

I love all the success stories I've read so far, and you would think that would

get me moving. I don't know what's going on. For some, getting started is very easy.

These are folks who set a brand new fitness goal, usually around the first of the year.

They're excited about the eventual transformation, the brand new start, this new thing,

and their motivation tank is filled to the brim.

The problem is, the challenge is, that motivation is almost always entirely

emotionally based. And those emotions can't last forever. And when they fade, as they always do,

so does the motivation. So getting started isn't hard for these folks. Keeping going is hard.
