Some car stops. You're walking down the street. Two or three people approach you. They're big. They don't ask for much. They just grab you and turn you around, cuff you. They have guns and they just throw you into the car. I mean, that feels very much like, wow, that is a kidnapping or abduction. And I mean, that puts fear even in U.S. citizens.

I feel like criminals are probably the ones that are fear the least of what's happening.

Just regular citizens are feeling like, oh, man, should I just even go to the Good Faith Podcast. I'm your host, Curtis Chang. The Good Faith podcast is where friends who follow Jesus

nonpartisan organization. One of the challenges in making sense of the world is this whipsaw effect being created by the government.

One day you're reacting to something like the politicization of the military.

Then the next day it's about some act of government censorship.

And then the next day, it's about the budget and so on and so on.

One of Trump's longtime advisors, Steve Bannon,

has admitted publicly that this daily changing of the topic is an intentional strategy

to distract the opposition. We hear at Good Faith want to help you resist this kind of distraction.

Over the next few months, we're going to do a deeper dive on some important topics.

We're not going to spend back-to-back weeks on the same topic, but spread out over months,

we will return to an important topic from multiple angles in multiple episodes.

We're starting out with the topic of immigration, and we're doing this for a few reasons.

One is because immigration, or more accurately, anti-immigration, is core to the Christian

nationalist and the MAGA movements.

And polls show that anti-immigration was a key aspect of

Trump's electoral victory. And I really believe whether America welcomes or is hostile to immigrants

will long-term shape our national character. Now, let me show my personal cards here. I have a reason for addressing this topic,
