We know today is going to have challenges to our faith, and actually that's what our

episode today is about, is when a state of famine hits our faith.

We're going to see some lessons from the life of Abram today.

All right, let's look at the life of Abram again.

We are in Genesis chapter 12, verse number 10.

We're only looking at one verse today because there's so much here in this description

that we receive of what happened in Abram's life.

Now to summarize, Abram has moved into the land of Canaan following the promise of God

that he's going to do something great in his life.

He's brought his wife, he's brought his nephew, he's brought all of his possessions.

And God has told him that this very land of Canaan is the land he's going to give to Abram's

descendants, which was a little bit of a problem because Abram had no kids,

and he and his wife were unable to have children.

Yet, in faith, he's been following God.

And so here he is in the land of Canaan and we get to verse 10.

It says now there was a famine in the land.

So Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there for the famine was severe in the land.
