because we're going to be talking with all of you about what to do when disaster strikes and how real estate agents can lead the way and serve.

And this is information that all of you should be using if for no other reason than to calm the nerves of yourself, your family, your past clients, your centers of influence, and your community.

I'm going to start out by sharing with you guys a story where Julie and I originally came up

with this concept of the podcast.

It was years ago, maybe 15, 20 years ago, there were big fires that were happening in this

resort area of Big Bear, California. Was it Big Bear?

I think it was Big Bear.

Yeah.

Up in the mountains, right?

Yeah, up in the mountains. think it was Big Bear. Yeah. Up in the mountains, right? Yeah, up in the mountains.

And it was in California and fire struck and there was obviously mass damage, nothing like

what they're experiencing now in the LA area, which is significantly worse.

So anyway, we had a coaching client there and he was not the most dominant agent there.

He was just a Midland agent and he was not able to leave the community in time.

And so he stayed. And he was relatively certain his house was going to be spared given the direction of the winds and the flames and the rest of it.

So all the roads got blocked and all the, you know, basically people left. And he said he was one of the only, you know, essentially non-firefighter

types that were still there.
