So the title of the message today is when darkness falls.

Anybody ever been in that place in life where darkness fell?

And sometimes we can see it coming, sometimes it's just completely out of the blue.

Circumstances change, the sky clouds, God is obscured, and darkness falls.

And I want to talk about that place today as we lean into this idea of the comeback.

Last week, if you weren't here, we talked about our common comeback.

Because this is really the root from which we can have hope today.

And I don't want us to miss that again.

So the hope today isn't any one story.

People so generously open their stories to us in this book.

But our hope isn't in anybody's story really.

Those are just encouragements to us to hang in there, to find hope in the person of Christ.

Because every story has a common thread and the common thread is not the person, the common thread is Jesus.

And the way that we can know, so here's what I would like to say today.

Whatever situation you're in, I believe God is greater than that situation.

And he's greater than that circumstance.

And even when you cannot start over again, some of you are thinking, you know what, Louis?

This whole thing about, you know, you can always start over, you can always begin again.

Some of you cannot start over.

Your spouse is gone. Your business is gone.

All that's washed away.

The person you loved is dead.
