So when we talk about the comeback, what are we talking about?

Are we just talking about those situations in life where the bottom falls out or a diagnosis

comes or someone bolts in a relationship or a business goes under and all of a sudden

we realize, man, I've got to have a turnaround in my life.

Or are we just talking about the nature of humanity, which is that all of us struggle

to be everything that God has dreamed for us to be?

And today I want to begin with our common comeback because I think as a foundation for how

can we even believe that anybody can have a comeback?

There has to be something that that hope is rooted in and I believe it's rooted in our

common comeback.

And you may be thinking, I've never had a comeback in my life.

Well, I want to help you rethink that today.

Or you're thinking, I've never been one of those crazy people who's ended up off

in left field and needed a rescue.

I want to help you rethink that today.

Or maybe you're thinking, I've never really been in a desperate place and needed other

people to bail me out.

I want to help us all rethink that today because my hope is that a lot of people in this

building, you can let me know, have put their faith in Jesus.

I've said that they believe Jesus is powerful enough to give them the gift of eternal life.

Is there anybody in that category today who don't have to clap for cheer, but just a

little show of hands?
